7 March 2024, Quezon City – The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through its Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM), hosted an awarding ceremony for the graduates of the Executive Course on Program Administration and Quality Management. The event took place at the House of Representatives (HRep) in Quezon City.

DAP President and CEO Majah-Leah V. Ravago opened the ceremony by acknowledging the crucial role of the Congress in nation-building. She also highlighted the commitment and initiatives of the House of Representatives Secretariat to enhance the efficiency of their services, a vital aspect of good governance.

“The House of Representatives Secretariat is dedicated to providing steadfast technical support to its members, prioritizing continuous learning and growth to ensure our human resources are equipped to deliver top-notch service,” Dr. Ravago emphasized.

Meanwhile, HRep Secretary General Reginald S. Velasco delivered the keynote speech, reflecting on the significance of the graduates’ achievements and the importance of continuous professional development in public service.

The graduates, comprising 50 senior and junior staff members of the Congress, completed the five-month online program. The program covered various areas including program administration, quality management, phronetic leadership, strategic communications, and sustainability, enriching their understanding and skills in these domains.

The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Lizan E. Peranta-Calina, dean of the DAP-GSPDM, along with other HRep dignitaries.
