Pasig City, 29 February 2024 – The Development Academy of the Philippines, through its Productivity and Development Center (PDC), held a management briefing for some 14 beneficiary agencies of the Government Quality Management Program (GQMP). The event provided the participants with an overview of the GQMP and the scope of work covered by the grant, as well as secure their commitment in the timely completion of project activities and achievement of ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification.
The GQMP beneficiaries for 2024 include local government units, national government agencies, state universities and colleges, and a provincial hospital, namely, Provincial Government of Quezon; City Government of Iloilo; City Government of Meycauayan: City Government of Caloocan; Municipal Government of Candelaria; Games and Amusement Board, Philippine Sports Commission; Department of Labor and Employment; National Fisheries and Development Institute; Philippine Commission on Women; Central Mindanao University; Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University; Batanes State College; and, Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital.
DAP President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Majah-Leah Ravago, led the ceremonial commitment signing with the heads and representatives of the beneficiary agencies to signify their collective commitment in collaborating towards achieving the goal of the GQMP.
In her closing remarks, President Ravago emphasized to the beneficiary agencies the challenging yet rewarding task of enhancing service quality. She stressed the importance of collective efforts in surpassing goals and establishing new benchmarks of excellence in public service. Additionally, she highlighted how this endeavor contributes to the realization of the Philippine Development Plan and AmBisyon 2040 objectives. She thanked the beneficiary agencies and the GQMP stakeholders for their dedication, urging them to move forward with renewed vigor for a more progressive Philippines.
