DAP’s Graduate School presents its academic programs to the Philippine Army delegation, highlighting key offerings in public management, security, and governance.

Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac—The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through the Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM) – Security Governance and Diplomacy Cluster (SGDC), met with key officers from the Philippine Army’s Training Command (TRACOM) and Center for Leadership Development (CLD) for an exploratory meeting and focused group discussion on 1 July 2025.

The discussion centered on potential academic collaboration to support faculty development, enhance TRACOM’s curriculum, and share DAP’s best practices in engaging with twinning partners and academic institutions.

DAP was represented by Ms. Alyn Joy D. Baltazar, Program Manager of SGDC, along with her team. The Philippine Army delegation was led by Colonel Audie A. Mongao (INF) PA (GSC), Commander of TRACOM, and Colonel Manuel S. Valdez IV (INF) PA (MNSA), Director of CLD, TRACOM, together with other officers and personnel.

Ms. Baltazar presented an overview of the academic offerings of GSPDM, highlighting flagship programs such as the Master in Public Management major in Development and Security, as well as a range of executive and certificate courses on security, governance, leadership, geopolitics, maritime safety, and public policy.

The open forum that followed reflected strong interest from the Philippine Army officers, who shared their aspirations to further strengthen the leadership and instructional capabilities of their faculty and personnel through DAP’s academic programs.

This meaningful dialogue sets the groundwork for a promising partnership in building a more competent and future-ready leadership corps within the Philippine Army.
