The Japanese government’s Cabinet Bureau of Personal Affairs, represented by Deputy Counselor Takeo Watanabe, met with Development Academy of the     Philippines President Antonio D. Kalaw Jr. and DAP  Senior Vice President for Programs Magdalena L.     Mendoza on February 9, 2016 to get a glimpse of the DAP’s functions and mandates as well as the programs it offers. The Japanese officials also met with other        selected Philippine Government officials on the subjects of working conditions and labor policies in the country    during their three-day trip, which Mr. Watanabe said was aimed at “looking for various ideas” on how to possibly train and educate future Japanese leaders, which they   believed they can learn from the Philippines’ approach on these matters.
