GQMP joins the celebration of the World Quality Month 

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through its Government Quality Management Program (GQMP) under the Productivity and Development Center, joins the international community in celebrating World Quality Month this November 2024. With the theme “Quality: From Compliance to Performance,” this year’s celebration emphasizes the shift from meeting basic standards to achieving excellence across all organizational functions.

The GQMP plays a crucial role in enhancing quality across Philippine government agencies, aligned with its mission to boost public sector performance. By embracing this year’s theme, the GQMP reinforces its commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in public service.

GQMP Activities for World Quality Month 2024

In line with World Quality Month, the GQMP has organized activities aimed at strengthening quality mindsets, improving service delivery, and establishing a culture of excellence in government. Key events include:

  • 12-13 November 2024 | GQMP Training on Auditing ISO 9001:2015 QMS Amendment on Climate Change
    Enhancing Climate-Responsive Quality Management Systems
    This training provides QMS auditors, consultants, and key staff with tools to implement recent amendments to the ISO 9001:2015 standards focused on climate change, supporting member agencies of the Government Management Quality Committee in climate-responsive quality management.
  • 19-20 November 2024 | GQMP Conference: “Beyond Quality Management, Advancing to Public Service Excellence”
    Exploring Trends in Quality Public Service
    This conference will highlight global public sector trends, insights from citizen satisfaction surveys, and exemplary practices. The event will also feature the Government Best Practice Recognition (GBPR) 2024 Ceremony, honoring key agencies, GQMP beneficiaries, and GBPR finalists for their commitment to quality in public service.
  • 28 November 2024 | Seminar on Cost Quality
    Linking Quality with Cost Efficiency
    This seminar will explore strategies for achieving quality while maximizing cost-effectiveness in government operations.
  • Citizen Satisfaction Survey 2024
    Gathering Public Insights for Service Improvement
    As part of its quality improvement initiatives, the GQMP will conduct a citizen satisfaction survey to capture feedback on government services. Results are expected in the first quarter of 2025.
  • GQMP Quality Video Campaign
    Reaffirming Our Commitment to Quality
    This video campaign will highlight the importance of quality in public service, inspiring agencies to maintain high standards in their daily operations.
  • Quality Tips (Q-Tips)
    Practical Advice for Quality in Public Service
    The Q-Tips campaign will share bi-weekly social media posts with insights to enhance service quality and workplace practices.
