Some 13 participants from various government agencies completed the five-day Course on Risk Management (RM) conducted by the Development Academy of the Philippines’ (DAP) Center for Governance last August 19-23 at the DAP Building in Pasig City.
The course, now on its third run, introduces participants to RM concepts and perspectives, allows participants to use RM tools and methodologies, and provides guidance in the establishment of an RM system within organizations.
The course uses both instructional and experiential modes of learning, thus, enables participants to appreciate the usefulness of RM and how it can be replicated or done in their respective offices.
The resource persons of the course include Director Gilbert Lumantao, Director Alvin Principe, and senior project officers Peter Dan Baon, Joebert Sayson, and Rocio Isabel Paloma of the DAP-CFG.
The course participants came from Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority, Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan, Department of Budget and Management, National Irrigation Administration, Bureau of Plant Industry, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Credit Information Corporation.
The next run of the course will be on September 23-27, 2019 at the DAP Building in Pasig City. – Stephanie Azarcon
