The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), as the focal organization of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Center of Excellence on Public Sector Productivity, successfully concluded the 2025 Productivity Insights: Translating Ideas to Practice webinar series. The three-part virtual event showcased public-sector productivity innovations from Thailand, Vietnam, and India.
Drawing over 400 participants from national and local government units, state universities, and public institutions, the webinar series served as a knowledge-sharing platform for sharing best practices and emerging innovations in public-sector productivity across APO-member economies.
The series opened on July 8 with a session featuring the Thailand Productivity Institute (FTPI). Program Manager Thadchaya Jaichareon and Quality Development Staff Kitchakorn Arunsawat shared their experience using the LINE Official Account system to streamline internal quality audits, resulting in improved communication, reduced service times, and better data management.
The second episode, held on July 15, highlighted the digital transformation journey of Da Nang City, Vietnam. Vice Director Thuan Doan of the Institute for Brand and Competitive Strategy presented citizen-centric reforms that improved service turnaround time, eliminated redundancies, and increased satisfaction among users of public services.
The final session, conducted on July 29, spotlighted India’s Digital Public Infrastructure. Dr. Bajrang Lal, Deputy Director of the National Productivity Council (NPC), discussed various digital initiatives such as e-Office Management, e-HRMS 2.0, and the Knowledge Management System, which have significantly strengthened efficiency, transparency, and delivery of public services in India.
Through the Productivity Insights webinar series, the DAP continues to reaffirm its commitment to advancing innovation, learning exchange, and impactful reforms in the public sector.
