Pasig City, Philippines – The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), as the designated focal organization for the Asian Productivity Organization Center of Excellence on Public Sector Productivity (APO COE-PSP), successfully conducted the Designing Citizen-Centered Public Service Workshop from November 4 to 6, 2024, at its DAP Pasig office. The workshop introduced key ideation techniques—such as Client Journey Mapping, Crazy 8s, Design Charrettes, and SCAMPER—aimed at equipping public sector agencies with innovative tools and strategies to enhance organizational service improvement initiatives.
The event drew 49 participants from 12 government organizations, including the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, City Government of Butuan, Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines, Department of Migrant Workers, Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, Food and Drug Administration, Local Government of Cuyapo in Nueva Ecija, Local Government of San Vicente in Palawan, Maritime Industry Authority, Nueva Vizcaya State University, Small Business Corporation, and Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology.
After this workshop, participants will progress through additional phases, including pitching, pilot-testing, coaching, implementation, and a knowledge-sharing session. These phases are designed to reinforce the practical application of skills and insights gained, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the public sector.
