The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through its Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM), formally welcomed the ninth batch of healthcare professionals under the Certificate Course on Hospital Quality Improvement (CC HQI) during a virtual opening ceremony held via Zoom on July 4, 2025.
The CC HQI is a key initiative designed to strengthen the country’s healthcare systems by equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver health services that are effective, safe, and patient-centered. The course provides a platform to explore the complexities of healthcare systems and understand how quality improvement measures can be leveraged to enhance their efficacy and responsiveness.
Participants will also learn to apply practical quality improvement tools in problem analysis, solution development, and implementation of context-specific programs within their respective institutions.
Present during the opening ceremony were by Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, Dean of the DAP- GSPDM, and the course faculty: Dr. Norma Lange-Tagaza (Faculty-in-Charge), Dr. Maria Linda Buhat, Dr. Madeleine De-Rosas Valera, and Dr. Bien Eli Nillos.
Running from July 4 to September 19, 2025, the course will be delivered through the iGSPDM Nexus of Information Technology and Education (iGNITE) and Zoom platforms, ensuring a flexible and accessible learning experience for participants across the country.
The program is implemented under the supervision of HGSPC Program Manager Nikki Billedo, with support from Learning Manager Gerald Macabinquil and Learning Associate Karl Laplana.
