LGEMC Batch 14 scholars with the DAP officers, and LGEMC faculty, alumni, and staff.
Tagaytay City, Philippines – The Development Academy of the Philippines welcomed the 28 local government functionaries of the 14th batch of the Local Government Executives and Managers Class (LGEMC) on July 2, 2024 at the DAP Conference Center. The batch, aptly named Buhayani–a fusion of “Buhay” and “Bayani”– consists of modern-day leaders dedicated to serving the marginalized sectors of the society, representing 27 local government units (LGUs) from different municipalities, cities, and provinces across 11 regions.
The opening ceremony was followed by the commencement of Course 1: Peak Performing and Adaptive Local Government Leader, led by Faculty-in-Charge Victoria Alcoseba. The participants’ learning journey will start with sessions on leadership facilitated by Alcoseba and other esteemed Course 1 resource persons from July 3 to 6.
The LGEMC is a comprehensive training program designed for LGU functionaries. It includes five courses focused on personal efficacy and leadership, development and governance, and strategic public management. The program is delivered through a hybrid/flexible learning mode over a period of 2.5 months.
