The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through its Modernizing Government Regulations Program (MGRP), is inviting business leaders, civil society organizations, members of the academe, government regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders to the 2026 Regulatory Review Launch on 26 August 2026, from 1:30 to 5:00 PM via Zoom.
This year’s Regulatory Review will focus on five priority sectors: Business Sector (Business Closure), Energy, Health, Transportation, and Manufacturing (Plywood) Industry.
The launch provides an opportunity for stakeholders to share firsthand experiences, raise concerns, and help identify regulations that may be burdensome, problematic, or affecting the efficiency of government transactions and service delivery.
Specifically, the launch aims to:
- Present brief profiles of each sector’s regulatory environment;
- Identify and validate the specific problematic or burdensome regulation that will be the focus of the Post-Implementation Review (PIR); and
- Gather inputs from key stakeholders on the relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the identified regulation, including its impact on government transactions, service delivery and productivity.
The insights gathered during the session will help the DAP Study Teams refine the scope of the PIRs, identify key implementation issues, and better understand stakeholder concerns. Moreover, these findings will guide the succeeding analysis and stakeholder consultations under the Regulatory Review process.
Join us and make your voice count in improving the regulatory environment of the Philippines.
