DAP recommended for three ISO certifications following Stage 2 IMS audit

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) has been recommended for certification under three international standards following a three-day Stage 2 Integrated Management System (IMS) audit conducted by Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI) on November 3–5, 2026.

The audit team recommended DAP for certification to ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, subject to the submission of adequate corrective action plans addressing the minor nonconformities raised during the audit.

The Stage 2 audit evaluated the compliance and effectiveness of DAP’s documented IMS against the specified requirements for certification. It covered DAP’s Head Office in Pasig City, DAP Conference Center in Tagaytay City, and DAP sa Mindanao in Davao City.

The audit scope covered DAP’s project management system, including design and development, for the provision of research, training and education, technical services, and conference facilities management. It also assessed the implementation and effectiveness of the Academy’s management system processes, including organizational leadership, risk management, operational controls, compliance obligations, performance evaluation, and continual improvement.

In its overall conclusion, the audit team recognized the commitment of DAP’s top management, demonstrated through its active participation in the implementation of IMS requirements and its efforts to ensure that the system remains relevant, aligned, and integrated with the organization’s business processes.

The audit also raised minor nonconformities that DAP must address through the corrective action process. The corresponding action plans must be submitted to CIPI for review and approval on or before December 5, 2026. Detailed compliance findings and opportunities for improvement will be formally included in the final audit report.

The recommendation marks an important milestone in DAP’s continuing efforts to strengthen its institutional systems, uphold service quality, promote environmental responsibility, and ensure occupational health and safety across its operations. Through an integrated approach to quality, environmental management, and workplace safety, DAP seeks to ensure that its institutional processes remain responsive, efficient, and aligned with the needs of its stakeholders.

As the Academy continues to advance its mandate of strengthening governance and public sector institutions, the development and maintenance of robust management systems reinforce its commitment to delivering quality services and contributing to more effective public service.

The formal grant of the three ISO certifications remains subject to CIPI’s review and approval of DAP’s corrective action plans and the completion of the applicable certification decision process.
