PASIG CITY, Philippines | The Development Academy of the Philippines’ Public Management Development Program – Local Government Executives and Managers Class (LGEMC) reached a significant milestone with its first Faculty Assembly held on March 5, 2024, at the Wynwood Hotel Ortigas, Pasig City.
Since its establishment in 2020, the LGEMC program has been instrumental in empowering 262 scholars representing 35 provinces, 45 cities, and 152 municipalities across 12 successful batches.
Entering its fourth year, the LGEMC program management team recognized the importance of convening its esteemed faculty to commemorate achievements and engage in substantive dialogue. This assembly served as an opportune moment not only to reflect on past achievements but also to collaborate on enhancing the program’s structure and efficacy.
Reflecting on the journey thus far, LGEMC Program Manager Michelle N. Belga emphasized the significance of the values instilled throughout the program, highlighting their enduring impact beyond mere cognitive knowledge.
The assembly commenced with vibrant discussions among faculty members, including officers from the DAP and external subject matter experts in leadership, development, governance, and strategic public management. Insights shared encompassed recent advancements and practical approaches aimed at ensuring the program’s adaptability and alignment with the evolving needs of local government leaders.
The productive afternoon culminated in an Appreciation Event, where the dedicated faculty were lauded for their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions since the program’s inception. Undoubtedly, the continuous success of the LGEMC Program owes much to the wealth of expertise and support generously provided by its faculty members.
