MANILA, Philippines — The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) participated in the 24th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) by showcasing its publications, programs, and knowledge products at the DPRM Publications Exhibit held on September 17, 2026, at the Westin Manila in Mandaluyong City.
Organized by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), the exhibit was held alongside the 12th Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC) and provided an opportunity for DPRM steering committee members and APPC sponsors to showcase their respective knowledge products and connect with stakeholders. The exhibit brought together representatives and participants from government agencies, nongovernment organizations, policymaking institutions, research organizations, international organizations, civil society, and the private sector.
DAP’s participation highlighted the Academy’s work in policy research, capacity development, public sector innovation, institutional strengthening, and productivity enhancement. Through its exhibit, DAP presented selected publications and information materials featuring its programs and initiatives that contribute to strengthening public institutions and developing the capabilities of public sector leaders and professionals.
The 2026 DPRM carried the theme “Building Strong Institutions, Unlocking Human Capital Potential” or “Matatag na Institusyon, Maunlad na Yamang Tao,” emphasizing the role of institutions, human capital development, productivity, and collaboration in advancing long-term national development.
The DPRM is observed every September pursuant to Proclamation No. 247, s. 2002, which recognized the importance of policy research in socioeconomic development and called for greater awareness and appreciation of research and evidence in development planning and policymaking.
DAP’s participation in the exhibit complemented the objectives of the annual observance by providing a venue to share knowledge resources and engage with stakeholders on issues relevant to institutional development, human capital, productivity, and public sector transformation.
The exhibit was held in parallel with the 12th APPC, which focused on “Reshaping Economic Institutions for Transformational Partnerships in Human Capital Development.” The conference examined the role of economic institutions and transformational partnerships in advancing human capital development and supporting sustained economic transformation.
Through its participation in the 24th DPRM, DAP reaffirmed its commitment to knowledge generation and sharing, evidence-informed governance, institutional strengthening, and capacity development in support of national development.
