The Development Academy of the Philippines, through its Center for Career Executive Service (CES) Development, held a virtual Information Session on the Public Management Development Program (PMDP) for government officials of various ministries in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on August 22, 2024. The event aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the PMDP and its significant role in developing future-ready leaders for the Philippine bureaucracy.
Dr. Reynalyn Padsoyan, PMDP project officer, provided an overview of the program, including the CES’ historical context, distinguished alumni, and its goal to build a network of highly competent, ethical, and development-oriented government executives. During the session, PMDP-Advocacy and Admission Office Director, Reina Carmelita Young, outlined the qualifications, program design, and core learning areas. The session also featured testimonials from Middle Managers Class (MMC) Batch 22 alumni, Director Jobayra P. Tandalong of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and Director Noroden S. Abdullah of the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, who shared the transformative impact of the PMDP on their professional journeys.
The event concluded with an open forum where the participants were able to ask questions and further their understanding of the program. The PMDP team also extended an invitation to apply for the upcoming classes: Middle Managers Class Batch 35, commencing on January 20, 2025 and Senior Executives Class Batch 14, starting on February 17, 2025.
