The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) joined the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2025 debriefing, organized by the Presidential Office for Maritime Concerns, held on October 28 at the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Building in Makati City.

Led by Secretary Andres C. Centino, Presidential Assistant for Maritime Concerns, the debriefing gathered agencies to share their initiatives in promoting maritime awareness. Secretary Centino lauded this year’s celebration as the most successful since MANA Mo began seven years ago, emphasizing the need to recognize the seas as vital to the nation’s identity, economy, and security.

The DAP’s Dekalogo Lecture Series, “The Philippines as a FutuResilient Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Towards Society 5.0,” was specially cited for spotlighting the Philippine blue economy, nature-based climate solutions, and cross-sector collaboration.

Other DAP initiatives under MANA Mo included SEAtizen Fridays, a social media and banner campaign, and the pilot run of the Certificate Course on Maritime Security, which enhanced policy knowledge on maritime governance.

Through these efforts, DAP continues to champion awareness, resilience, and innovation as the Philippines moves toward becoming a FutuResilient Maritime and Archipelagic Nation.
