Pasig City, Philippines – Officials of the Career Executive Service Board (CESB), led by Chairperson Urduja Alvarado and Executive Director Maria Marcy Ballesteros, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Acting President and CEO of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) on 19 August 2025 at the DAP building.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strong partnership between CESB and DAP in advancing leadership development in the public sector. Both institutions expressed their commitment to further collaboration, particularly in harmonizing DAP’s Public Management Development Program (PMDP) with the CES eligibility process, as part of their shared goal of nurturing competent and future-ready government executives.

DAP and CESB officers agreed in principle to harmonize, align, and integrate the CES process with the courses under DAP’s PMDP–the National Government Career Executive Service Development Program (NGCESDP). The harmonization aims to strengthen the CES process by introducing more intensive training for senior executives and tailoring PMDP courses to better prepare scholars from diverse fields.

The visit underscored the continuing cooperation between CESB and DAP in building a stronger and more unified approach to leadership excellence in government service.
