PASIG CITY, 26 June 2025—The Development Academy of the Philippines Certification Body (DAP CB) marked a major milestone as it awarded eight individuals the title of Certified Productivity Specialist (CPS)—the very first batch to be recognized under this national certification program. The awarding ceremony was held at the DAP Building in Pasig City.
These newly certified professionals successfully completed the rigorous CPS certification process, demonstrating their expertise in developing and implementing productivity solutions across various sectors. Notably, seven awardees received the CPS credential in Public Sector Productivity Practice, strengthening the country’s drive toward more efficient, effective, and innovative public service.
DAP CB Project Manager Yuri Munsayac highlighted the collective effort in establishing the Certification Body within just five months. Meanwhile, DAP Officer-in-Charge and CB Certification Council Chairperson Magdalena L. Mendoza reminded the new CPS professionals that productivity is not only about certifications, but about creating meaningful outcomes and driving positive change.
To cap off the ceremony, DAP CB Supervising Fellow Monica Saliendres encouraged the new CPS professionals to see this milestone as a motivation to pursue excellence continuously, emphasizing that “productivity is a lifelong commitment that empowers individuals, transforms organizations, and drives national development.”
The event also underscored the importance of productivity as a vital element in sustainable economic growth, effective public sector performance, and enhanced national competitiveness. It served as a platform for networking, collaboration, and reaffirming the shared commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
The CPS certification is part of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Accreditation and Certification Program, with DAP as an accredited certifying body. This initiative supports the goals of the Philippine Development Plan 2023–2028 and Ambisyon Natin 2040, contributing to a more inclusive, high-trust, and resilient society.
As the DAP Certification Body continues to support APO’s mission of raising productivity standards across Asia and the Pacific, it looks forward to welcoming more Filipino professionals into this growing community of Certified Productivity Specialists.
