Pasig City- The Development Academy of the Philippines, through its Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM), celebrated the accomplishments of the seventh batch of graduates from the Certificate Course on Foresight and Futures Thinking (CC-FFT) on May 10, 2024, at the DAP Pasig building.
Some 39 graduates from various government agencies, including the Department of Education, Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine Air Force, Commission on Audit, state universities and colleges, and local government units, participated in the certificate course. This was made possible through a scholarship program supported by the Senate Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, Innovation, and Futures Thinking, chaired by Senator Pia S. Cayetano.
“Armed with analytical prowess and strategic foresight, you possess the capacity to chart new horizons, navigate uncertainties, and forge pathways to progress in your respective spheres,” DAP President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, said as she urged the graduates to use their newfound skills in contributing to the country’s growth and development.
She emphasized the importance of the course in achieving the national agenda, stating that it represents a “concrete step of the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 under the Marcos Jr. Administration, towards the vision outlined in Ambisyon Natin 2040 for a matatag, maginhawa at panatag na buhay para sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
The CC-FFT promotes innovation in public policy-making and planning through the paradigms of futures thinking and strategic foresight. For inquiries or information regarding the course, contact the DAP Graduate School via email at gspdm@dap.edu.ph or through (02) 8631 0921 local 128.
