— The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) successfully convened the “Conference on Youth Education and the Future of Work” from November 12 to 13, 2024, at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. The two-day conference brought together around 100 delegates from 15 APO-member economies to tackle educational divides among youth and share strategies to address these challenges in Asia’s evolving landscape.
 
The opening ceremony featured key figures such as DAP President and CEO Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, APO Program Officer Mr. Nobutsugu Miyama, and NEDA Director for Trade, Services, and Industry Staff Mr. Bien A. Ganapin. Senator Sherwin T. Gatchalian, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Basic Education, Arts, and Culture, delivered an inspiring keynote address titled “Innovative Approaches to Preparing Youth for the Future of Work.”

  • Mr. Jairaj Mashru of India’s Global Economy Council analyzed potential future work scenarios, considering geographic, industrial, and socio-economic factors.
