Last March 19, 2025, co-learners and DAP-GSPDM faculty and staff came together to mark the successful completion of the Certificate Course on Public Finance and Budgeting (CC-PFB), Batch 4. The closing ceremony served as both a celebration of their journey and a call to action for stronger institutions and inclusive governance.

Dean Lizan E. Perante-Calina, DPA, commended the graduates for their commitment to lifelong learning and encouraged them to apply their knowledge in shaping more effective public service.

Several co-learners shared their insights and experiences throughout the program:

• Atty. Kara Mae Aurora R. Chua, City Administrator of the City Government of Batac, expressed how the course empowered her to make more informed, real-world decisions rather than relying solely on theory.
• Mr. Jefferson R. Cruz, Admin Officer V of the City Government of Malabon, emphasized that
“government resources should always be directed toward programs and services that create real-life impact on the people we serve.”

• Ms. Ma. Arianne Kate M. Paraiso, Senior Economic Development Specialist at NEDA, shared how gaining a deeper understanding of the budget process enhanced her appreciation for the strategic planning behind public finance.

Following the awarding of certificates and special citations by Ms. Prezatia Moseska Maria H. Vicario, Prof. Sheryll Grace S. Aromin, Faculty-in-Charge of CC-PFB Batch 4, in her closing remarks, reminded the graduates that their learning doesn’t stop here. “Your actions can and will make a difference. Go on to achieve greater things,” she encouraged.

Congratulations to CC-PFB Batch 4! May you continue to champion excellence in public finance and governance.
