November 13, 2024—Some 33 participants from ten Asian Productivity Organization (APO) member economies engaged in a series of site visits, as part of the APO Development of Public-Sector Productivity Specialists (APO-DPSPS). The program, co-organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and the APO Secretariat, aims to provide its participants with the necessary skillsets to develop their competencies as public-sector productivity specialists.

Participants observed the operational environment of the City Government of Valenzuela, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) – Cavite Economic Zone, and the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) and gained a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by public-sector organizations.

The APO-DPSPS is set to run from November 4 to 15, 2024. The activity serves as a testament to the DAP’s commitment to advancing the knowledge, skills, and competencies of public-sector specialists and leaders, in pursuit or promoting the well-being of the citizens they serve.
