Thirty-two delegates from 15 Asian Productivity Organization (APO) member economies took part in an immersive series of public-sector site visits on 13 August 2025, engaging with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

The visits provided first-hand exposure to real-world applications of productivity and innovation strategies in areas such as digital governance, service quality, citizen-focused delivery, and regulatory reform — showcasing the Philippine public sector’s best practices in action.

These site visits form part of the APO Development of Public-Sector Productivity Specialists (APO-DPSPS) program, jointly organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and the APO. The program is designed to build a strong pool of public-sector productivity specialists equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools to champion transformation in their respective organizations.

The two-week training course features expert-led sessions, workshops, and field exposures designed to deepen the understanding of productivity frameworks, change management, performance systems, and citizen-centered governance.

Through this initiative, the DAP reaffirms its commitment to nurturing competent and future-ready productivity specialists dedicated to delivering better services, driving institutional performance, and improving the overall well-being of citizens across the APO region.
