The Development Academy of the Philippines can now depend on a distinguished diplomat who is credited with spearheading the organizational requirements of the highly successful Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting hosted by the Philippines in November last year. This is because Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Laura Q. del Rosario has become a member of the Academy’s Council of Fellows. Del Rosario became the latest member of this elite group of think-tankers when she was presented her certificate of conferment in simple ceremonies attended by fellow members of the council at the Virata Hall last February 12. Del Rosario became Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for International Economic Relations on October 3, 2011. She rose from the ranks and has served as the Philippine Ambassador to such countries as Vietnam and India while having also been assigned to Vienna, Singapore and Washington D.C.
