The Development Academy of the Philippines, through its Productivity and Development Center, successfully concluded the final installment of the Government Quality Management Program (GQMP) Q-Talks Seminar Series, titled “Minimizing the Cost of Quality in the Public Sector,” on June 24, 2025 at the DAP Building in Pasig City.
The session highlighted the often-unseen costs of inefficiency, errors, and service failures in government operations—collectively known as the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ). DAP Productivity and Development Center Acting Vice President Arnel D. Abanto shared actionable ways to embed quality in government processes, emphasizing the importance of building a culture where efficiency and service excellence are the norm. More than 700 participants gained valuable insights and practical strategies to reduce COPQ and strengthen public service delivery.
This marks the successful completion of the Q-Talks Seminar Series, reinforcing the importance of fostering a culture of quality as a cornerstone of effective and responsive governance.
