The Development Academy of the Philippines – Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM), through its Health Governance and Social Protection Cluster (HGSPC), conducted a comprehensive syllabus review for its flagship Certificate Course on Hospital Quality Improvement (CCHQI) on April 22 at the DAP Building in Pasig City.

The review marks a major step in strengthening the course’s relevance and impact in the healthcare sector, reinforcing the Academy’s commitment to advancing evidence-based health governance and systems improvement.

Leading the activity were DAP-GSPDM Dean Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina and Dr. Norma Lange-Tagaza, Adjunct Faculty from the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) and CCHQI Faculty-in-Charge, who also served as Syllabus Review Facilitator. They were joined by course faculty members Dr. Linda Buhat, Dr. Madeleine Valera, and Dr. Bien Eli Nillos; HGSPC Program Manager Ms. Nikki Billedo, Deputy Program Manager Mr. Mark Atole, and members of the CCHQI learning team, Learning Manager Mr. Gerald Macabinquil and Learning Associate Mr. Karl Laplana. 

The improved syllabus will be implemented starting with the course’s ninth offering in May 2025, opening its doors to a new batch of health professionals and leaders committed to transforming hospital systems and delivering better patient outcomes.
