Call for Participation: MGRP 2024 Regulatory Review Public Consultation

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through its Productivity and Development Center (PDC), invites representatives from public sector agencies, regulatory bodies, civil society groups, industry associations, and academic institutions to join the Modernizing Government Regulations Program (MGRP) Public Consultation for  the 2024 Regulatory Review, on November 4, 2024, 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM via Zoom.

The consultation will present and validate key findings from the regulatory reviews gathered during the second round of consultations with stakeholders. The focus will be on improving the ease of doing business by exploring ways to streamline regulations, reduce compliance costs, and enhance overall efficiency within key industries. 

Feature speakers include Dr. Casper B. Agaton, professor of Environmental Economics at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños, and Atty. Mark Anthony M. Gamboa, licensed environmental planner and assistant professor at the University of the Philippines-Diliman School of Urban and Regional Planning. They will lead  discussions on the Waste-to-Energy and Water Utility sectors, alongside presentations from the DAP study teams on issues and emerging recommendations from the review results of the studies.
