Pasig City, Philippines – October 15, 2024 – The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) proudly welcomed faculty members and graduate students from the Johns Hopkins University – School of Advanced International Studies for an engaging institutional visit held at the O.D. Corpuz Hall, DAP Building. This visit aimed to foster collaborative discussions on sustainable development and governance, providing valuable insights for the students’ capstone papers.
Led by Dr. Sinisa Vukovic, Director of the Global Policy Studies program, the delegation of thirteen graduate students sought to deepen their understanding of key policy issues in the Philippines. Utilizing the country as a primary case study, the capstone papers will explore critical domains such as international relations, food security, climate policy, LGBTQ+ equality, emerging technologies, energy development, and good governance within the context of sustainable development.
The knowledge exchange was facilitated by distinguished DAP officers, including Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, President and CEO; Nanette C. Caparros, Vice President for the Center for CES Development; and Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, Dean of the Graduate School of Public and Development Management. Their expertise and insights provided the students with essential information vital to their academic pursuits.
