Manila, Philippines – June 18, 2024 – Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, President and CEO of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), delivered a presentation at the “Advancing Energy Security: Fueling Sustainable Progress with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)” conference, hosted by Stratbase ADRi at the Asian Institute of Management.
The conference brought together stakeholders from government, the private sector, academia, and civil society to discuss the development of the LNG industry in the Philippines. The event provided a platform to explore the challenges and opportunities of incorporating LNG into the optimal fuel mix to contribute to a stable and reliable power supply and enhanced energy security.
Dr. Ravago shared her insights on the nuances of LNG adoption within the context of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028. Drawing upon her extensive expertise, research, and contributions to the development of the Philippine LNG sector, Dr. Ravago offered recommendations and policy advice on securing energy supply and achieving low-carbon economic growth in the country.
