Fontainebleau, France— Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, President and CEO of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), took center stage at the prestigious Executive Leadership Program for National Productivity Organizations (NPOs) held at INSEAD (Institut Europeen d’Administraton des Affaires) from April 29 to May 3. This collaboration between the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and INSEAD aimed to equip leaders like Dr. Ravago with the essential tools to steer national productivity initiatives effectively.
The event gathered 12 NPO representatives from various Asian countries, all keen on honing their skills in navigating complexity, fostering innovation, and promoting collaboration among stakeholders in their nations. Dr. Ravago’s presence underscored the DAP’s commitment to bolstering productivity and driving economic growth in the Philippines and beyond.

The program’s objectives were clear: empower productivity policymakers; offer leadership courses to key personnel; enhance personal and organizational productivity; communication, and leadership skills, and strengthen networking and idea exchanges. Given that productivity being a key driver of economic growth, the need for capable leaders like Dr. Ravago has never been more pressing.
The NPO leaders benefitted from sessions conducted by INSEAD faculty—spearheaded by Program Director Philip Parker, and thought leader speakers who shared insights on strategic leadership and management, decision-making, productivity policymaking and evaluation, digitalization and innovation, productivity leadership, and Artificial Intelligence.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in individual reading, lecture-based learning, case studies, and group discussions, all aimed at enhancing their capacity to lead and manage productivity improvement initiatives. Dr. Ravago’s active participation and contributions further enriched the learning experience for all attendees.

As the program drew to a close, Dr. Ravago delivered the Vote of Thanks during the dinner, expressing gratitude on behalf of all participants for the enriching experience and emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and knowledge sharing among APO members.
The outcome of the Executive Leadership Program was clear: the capacity of NPO officials in leading and managing productivity improvement was strengthened, their knowledge of productivity leadership enhanced, and productivity networking among APO members expanded. With leaders like Dr. Ravago at the forefront, the future of productivity in the Asia-Pacific region looks promising, driven by innovation, collaboration, and effective leadership.
